Now that is really great. I've been to jamaica and it is incredibly poor. i think it should be a candidate for Santas ghetto. Hope the money goes to these poeple and not some American or European opportunist.

maybe he will give a good % to the guys that were tearing it down or the owner or the wall or whatever, if he does not, he's the real sucker, but i doubt he wont since people where happily helping.

I thought it was a very sad video, it's never nice seeing street art taken down. The video reaks of desperation and these guys will get fuck all between them and someone else will profit.

Do you remember the guy who sold the bag stall shutter on Tottenham Court Rd 2/3 years back? The Banksy 'boy with the paint brush' (can remember the name). Anyway the stall holder made jack sh!t and the shutter sold for tens of thousands..

Lifting it up with the arm of the JCB like that nothing to strengthen the wall They were very lucky to get away without the whole thing just falling apart under the pressure, and ending up with a pile of rubble ;D

To me it looks like the wall had been pointed recently i.e maybe after the Banksy had been finished and maybe retouched, also it would be easy for some one to fake it, the wall could have been painted over a while ago then a new fake stencil applied, i would want to know for sure before i ever paid a penny/cent.

Anyone have any idea as to who the white guy in the white shirt is? He looks more like the organiser/seller of this piece - and is probably using Peter Dean Rikkards as his local contact to arrange the removal of it.

Im not sure the compositions right for a Banksy anyway Would he put the Banksy tag so large and central like that?

I think it is a banksy. some years ago he was comissioned to do some work on a recording studio there. He upset the owner of that website (afflictedyard). he gave banksy a hard time, leaving abusive notes for him on the studio notice board and took some photos, which he subsiquently sold to the evening standard.

He is a photographer, and he was interviewed in the wocester collective, until it came out that he was the guy that outed banksy. subsiquently his interview was pulled...good job too
