Loads of good galleries all over London, with some really great Art on show ;D I just hope people can open their eyes a bit more and forget about what gallery door that print has passed through, and just think about the Artist who made it, and the messages and feelings it gives you when you look at it ;D

The thing is that its just reflecting the real world the Ebay section on this forum is the second most popular part of the forum. No point in denying that people Buy, Sell & Swap art hiding the fact would be just like censorship

Good post on a good thread..These kind of threads crop up now and again,and it's refreshing to see that for some at least,it is the art that matters.For me it's not about how much a piece is worth or will be.It's about what I like on my walls.Nor does it matter where it comes from...I noticed you were in Stella Dore on Sat. Silky.I went there before and after POW(where I purchased only my second piece of POW art) and noticed you'd signed the visitors book after me.....Now,where is that copy of Wall and Piece.

Ive not looked at the book in a long time and what really struck me was how much this forum doesn't really relate to the book. It was almost like rediscovering the book again.. some of his street pieces are pure genius. The irony, satire, humour, sarcasm and the concepts and placements of some of his work kept me awake for a few hours in awe again. The Banksy forum has become kinda stale and too orientated to buying the next print or flipping some other. Its almost like a banksy ad trader in some respects. Maybe banksy mania has just gotten far to big and the financial aspect has now scarred the banksy following.. Maybe everyone should pull out the book again and have a long hard think about what first drew them here in the first place (apart from when the next POW release will be).. and if not do anything... just pore over the book and marvel at the work of a geenius.

Also have "Untitled - Street Art in the Counter Culture" - this is less informative than the TAte book but loads of great photographs. I'd recommend buying both.

the Dface book was free, absolutely! and its a nice one.. but would never pay 500 gbp for it..
edit: streetlevel999 has a nice but very pricey collection (1450 gbp for a micallef self portrait, 2000 for a Neate tea drinker). wasnt he active at this place?
