Today, I agree with you, Blek's paintings are not...very interesting...but, this record shows something : art collectors want to have street artists in there collections and not only, the community of street art. Christie's is a generalist company and they are considering that Banksy, Blek, micallef should be in Post-war & contemporary sales like Arman, Hirst, Warhol, Rauschenberg....
It was a world record because it's a beautiful painting.
