Dreweatts Art Auctions π¬π§, by PUD on Dec 16, 2010 16:55:58 GMT 1, Really thought the Kate would see Β£35k, makes no difference to me as i couldnt afford it at Β£26k
Low results here, perhaps people are still over valuing? The gude price on BH was a joke!!

Dreweatts Art Auctions π¬π§, by spirit on Dec 16, 2010 18:44:28 GMT 1, I'm shocked how much the LA ste went for. 5 unsigned prints? But everything else pretty low. I hope this takes some steam out of the ebay sellers. Every single Banksy print on ebay in the past 6 months has been listed with a ridiculously high BIN price.
6 unsigned prints - Grannies, Trolley's, Applause, Morons, Sale Ends and Festival.
But yeah - I was shocked how high they went too!
On another note, if the VLH hammered at 2.8, what did the buyer actually pay?

thought this as well. But they probably lowered the reserve offering the seller to waive the selling fees (assuring a sale to the buyer). I'm not sure but I don't know anyone who would let it go for this price at auction with a premium, considering they could reach more on the private market easily.
I know they did the same for the CWSB, they waved the selling fee to lower the reserve, it's the same result in term of how return for the sellers!
Don't forget that there's only 100 LA set of which some are signed. I guess that the set had matching numbers...

Dreweatts Art Auctions π¬π§, by RBK on Dec 17, 2010 1:27:40 GMT 1, I don't know what you mean by establishment Wizbong - but I think there were some very good/reasonable deals for Banksy prints at this auction.
Dreweatt's doesn't seem to me to be a strong international auction house so I'm not sure if it says too much about the overall Banksy print market. I also agree with snausages comment of the results being a bit refreshing compared to much of the over-inflated BINs on Ebay.

Dreweatts Art Auctions π¬π§, by craigf on Feb 12, 2011 9:07:02 GMT 1, Some interesting guide prices on the Neates and Micallef's (low, but maybe realistic?)
Not much special on the Banksy front, but some nice pieces, you don't see signed Applause coming up that often for example

Dreweatts Art Auctions π¬π§, by hlarmy on Mar 10, 2011 23:04:34 GMT 1, Some beauties in this auction - the stand out pieces for me are the TMA Bristol original , Koons, LAII and Haring collaboration, Freud, Yeo, the Banksy original, Adam Neate original (low estimate, but perhaps realistic) and the Mantis Recycle...
Good to see our very own Remi and JP in there too, good luck guys...
Looking forward to this

The Micallef OG is just amazing. Really like this period of his. The TMA is a classic as well!
Funny pricing on the Taki map though.

Dreweatts Art Auctions π¬π§, by manty on Mar 11, 2011 18:06:50 GMT 1, Ok, crystal ball time.
We will discuss how surprised we are at how little sold, and wont believe that a lot didn't even hit reserve.
We will question in our minds the values of our collection, but wont air those thoughts.
We will also wonder why people put their lovely pieces into this sale in the first place.
We will voice the fact that this auction house doesn't market to same range of clients as other auction houses.
Ommmmmmmmmmm
ps
The smart guys will be the chaps who actually have a bit of spare cash, and bid, and get what they like at a great price
