You think nick was bidding ?
Some strange prices in that lot, quite a lot unsold by the looks of things.

Thats rather unfair silky why can't you be happy for these guys! It show's that up and coming talent is on its way to the fore front, its great to see banksy's but to be honest i was more interested in affordable art rather than something that is more than my car is worth!

It show's that up and coming talent is on its way to the fore front, its great to see banksy's but to be honest i was more interested in affordable art rather than something that is more than my car is worth! Good point. Some of the stuff was not that good though. Surprised to see parla and faile flop completely... maybe the wrong auction house for that type of work? The hirst butterflys were so cheap, if I handn't left my computer at that point I would have loved to pick one up for sub-2k. Don't buy walker art but that hk study was one of his best imo. Derserved to do well. As did the Kguy piece.
only one Hirst went sub 2k and once you add in commission etc it wasn't
surprised anyone likes that Walker, it's the HK cityscape I'd have trouble picking that out as a Walker let alone a Walker worth 15.5k

Dreweatts Art Auctions π¬π§, by hlarmy on Apr 21, 2010 23:52:26 GMT 1, Is it me or was that an auction with surprisingly strong results - cracking day for the artists at the bottom end (Ben Slow, Grafter, SPQR, DOC etc) - not surprised about the Parla's (very poor in my opinion), and strong results for Banksy. Not sure what happened with that Coloured Trolleys, although I'm not surprised that these are now starting to move north - a quality print that is inoffensive and very family friendly...
Now who was it that was selling their Coloured Trolleys for 1.3k recently

Dreweatts Art Auctions π¬π§, by volvic on Apr 22, 2010 0:25:23 GMT 1, sounds fishy to me, and not fair on faile or parla to be honest as the works submitted were rock bottom in quality.
trolleys for 3.5k? i sold mine for Β£1350 last week - someone has severely burnt themselves there..
I was not there but i can't imagine that the room was bulging full of serious collectors.

I do remember from the D*Face show in Brighton that the Cant Komplain canvas looked a bit I remember scratches all over the paint so maybe this was that one.

Dreweatts Art Auctions π¬π§, by Pattycakes on Apr 22, 2010 15:31:18 GMT 1, I loved Gavin's work until about 2005 when he started making complete crap. The brick is crap, it's meant to be crap admittedly, but it's a boring joke, one that he's repeated far too often. It's a shame, as he produced some increbile work in the late 90's early 00's that was really clever and thought provoking, he's just churning out the same old jokes now. Not that Hirst isn't doing the same thing, but Hirst is Hirst and Turk, well, isn't.
