Dreweatts Art Auctions π¬π§, by Daniel Silk on Oct 21, 2010 23:14:07 GMT 1, The thing that stands out for me with this auction is the pieces that were really nice to look at mostly went for good money, no matter who the artist was And the not so good pieces by BIG names dint sell I think that was nice to see people buying what they really enjoy looking at rather than buying the name.
Im probably wrong, but it looked a bit like that to me

The Gemeos did... ;D
Β£2.8k plus buyers premium and Vat for an average piece this small was about right IMO. Maybe a little cheap.

You are definitely right, this was exactly what I thought as well. People are getting more selective and buy what they like. Great development on one hand...

The two Hush pieces didn't sell but there was a bit of a fuck up. Lot 134 appeared online as 135 then 135 was auctioned as 135 if you get me.

Agreed, but a lovely little piece nonetheless. I suspect that this piece would look a whole lot more gorgeous in the flesh. Still think this was a good price.

I think the smiley was because of my mis-spelling. Doh!

Dreweatts Art Auctions π¬π§, by yeah on Oct 22, 2010 2:18:49 GMT 1, Think the 'Ineed' was cheap (wanted to bid on it), and the Mighty Mo (almost bid on that). I would have bid on the Remi/Rough but already have a lovely massive canvas like that and wouldn't have anywhere to put it (and the missus would have killed me...).

Go onto the Dreweatts website and look at the catalogue - I think it was around the 130 lot mark
You'll need a pretty big wall for it...
