Nooooooo, the holy grail of Banksy prints up for sale! If there was one Banksy I would love to own the this is it, forget the colourways this is class! Think its the first one I have seen for sale?
To be honest you can forget your 'Choose Your Weapon' there are some great pieces here for sale, signed Napalm and Laugh Now looking like good buys if the guide price stands up! Would sooner have one of these classics any day of the week. Will be interesting to see what they all go for, a real test for Banksy's popularity.
I would sell all of my art for the Kate, got a feeling it wouldn't be enough though!

Dreweatts Art Auctions π¬π§, by Sundowner on Dec 14, 2010 23:37:01 GMT 1, I went up there today and spent an hour or so having a look at the Banksy pieces. For anyone thinking about going, all have COAs and below are the highlights:
- Rude Copper (unsigned) - one of the best examples I've seen, with only some faint creasing.
- Kate AP (signed) - stunning, absolutely mint and double mounted in a black frame (looks like one of Gary's). If this goes for under Β£30k, then it will be a steal.....
- Happy Choppers (signed) - absolutely mint signed example, an absolute steal if you can get near the low estimate of Β£3k + VAT & Buyers Premium.
- Love is in the Air (unsigned) - Framed and looks to be in great condition....may have a cheeky bid on this one!
- Laugh Now (signed) - Looks to be in good condition overall
- 6 x LA prints (unsigned) not really my bag, but matching numbers and all look to be in mint condition.
- Napalm (signed) - Again, with a low estimate of Β£3k, this one could go for a song at the low estimate.
Hope that helps.....

Dreweatts Art Auctions π¬π§, by hlarmy on Dec 14, 2010 23:56:13 GMT 1, What a pleasant 10 minutes was that; so refreshing to see some art by some non-urban artists. Does anyone else get a bit sick of seeing the same old Dface, Fairey, Walker, Banksy ( ) prints in every sale...
Interesting decision to have a whole section dedicated to Banksy prints...

I think a significant portion of that GWB premium had to do with Hopper provenance but that's just me. Of course it only takes two people that have to own something for a silly price.

Dreweatts Art Auctions π¬π§, by craigf on Dec 15, 2010 9:54:37 GMT 1, I walked around on Monday and there are some very nice pieces plus of course the Banksy's. I did note down condition on all the prints, but have left my note at home today, some were in very nice condition, the Gold Flag in particular looked sweet. From memory the bottom of the IFTL had a bang.
Based on the estimates the LIITA looks a bargain if it goes within its range. CWSB is tempting, but I need to move house so will just be watching that one ;D

We're currently lot 100 so I'd say Banksy's will kick in around 5 pm (2h from now).

It seems Bloomsbury was a bit optimistic with those estimates
