Wanted to spend a bit longer on it but it started getting really windy and would have undone my previous work as the paint would have been caught by the wind and oversprayed causing fuzziness where I wanted sharpness.

The buyers of Amour Propre 19 and Basking Aingel 22 will also find something extra in their shipment ;D
Well done again Sacked and thanks to all those that picked up a little piece of me in paper, paint and pencil.

Replete π¬π§ TPN Crew Graffiti β’ Leeds Graffiti Artist, by Replete on Apr 14, 2009 21:27:26 GMT 1, First piece at my new Leeds spot painted over the easter weekend entitled The Simple Satisfaction Of The Boolean Subtraction.
Really pleased how this came out and it's definately one to be seen in real life as it's got a life of it's own.
I also played around with a lot of new shading techniques and the proportions and shapes of the body lengthing parts. Parts like the thigh, shins and ankles, lips, cheek and partioning and fragmenting the face, slightly shrinking the blue hand with a lot of detail and enlarging the orange hand but blurring the detail in order to change the compostion of the piece in order to match the recurring geometrical angles and to pull the eye of the viewer into the piece.

I've always said that the artist's that make the big bucks are the ones that write the best 'blurb' to go with their work. Your going far :-)

Very nice. Wouldn't mind seeing a wider shot so that I can see it in context.

Replete π¬π§ TPN Crew Graffiti β’ Leeds Graffiti Artist, by Replete on Apr 15, 2009 1:58:37 GMT 1, I'm up there again painting more pieces with my fellow TPN'ers and I'll het a wider shot but there's not much to see just plain brick walls and a set of steps.
And thanks Pster I really thought long and hard getting it to fit the wall space perfectly and getting the lines to continue across the secondary wall at a 90 degree angle. Working sympathetically with a space, not trying to conquer or disregard it is the key. Placement is paramount!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Replete π¬π§ TPN Crew Graffiti β’ Leeds Graffiti Artist, by Replete on Apr 16, 2009 18:59:13 GMT 1, this one took around 24 hours spread over 3 consecutive days as there is so much detail involved which a lot of it you cant see in the photo and also the process of shading was so exactingly precise it was almost at the micron level ;]
Getting all the geometric angles right purely by eye in order to fit the wall and it's surroundings also took ages but was well worth the effort.
