Replete π¬π§ TPN Crew Graffiti β’ Leeds Graffiti Artist, by Replete on Apr 17, 2009 13:59:54 GMT 1, Here's one fromyesterday done by me and my fellow TPN members Sune, Pryme and Crie. It was a quick one to paint, all pretty much made up on the spot with no prior planning other than selecting a common colour scheme but I think it came out pretty well.
I've permanently secured this wall for my own artistic use so hopefully at some point I'll raise some cash to get some scaffolds errected or longer ladders and do some real planning so we can make best use of the full vertical space

The U.K. has one of the best street art cultures in the world.Would be nice to see the north attract the international artists that London does. Gotta say the souths organization of events this year has been first class though. Im still fairly new to street art.Are there any events that take place up norf?

No big companies sponsoring it to look down with the kids in order to sell you their latest bit of life enhancing shhhhhh er kit ;], nothing for sale with the only thing on offer is a good day out and some living art created before your eyes.
I'd rather attend and paint one of these graf jams than a 100 corporate events even if the beer and paint is free if you discount having to sell a piece of your soul in order to get it ;!

Replete π¬π§ TPN Crew Graffiti β’ Leeds Graffiti Artist, by Replete on Apr 20, 2009 13:35:45 GMT 1, Cheers S and W and quite often I like the outlines just as much as the finished piece. If anyones in Leeds it'll be up for a couple of months before I paint something new over it. PM for directions if you want to check it and the other artwork I've done/doing on the building.

Replete π¬π§ TPN Crew Graffiti β’ Leeds Graffiti Artist, by Replete on Apr 27, 2009 19:24:35 GMT 1,
Here's a recent commission I've just completed for an American collector. The title of the piece "The Flickering Frame Of The Faceted Aingel" sums up what I've tried to achieve in the piece which is to try and mix a blend of futuristic abstraction contrasted with a nostalgic feel of a film frame from the 1920's period constrasting new with the old and getting a grainy softer focus look like the old film stock.
It's painted entirely in spraypaint which naturally lends itself to the grainer look. Here's some of my inspiration behind the piece as I was looking at these vintage photos for the feel of my piece. The women in them are not what would be considered top model material by todays photoshopped and air brushed standards but I think they actually are more real and beautiful for all their slight imperfections.

Replete π¬π§ TPN Crew Graffiti β’ Leeds Graffiti Artist, by Replete on Apr 30, 2009 20:16:10 GMT 1, Hiya folks,
I've just released some new A4 (8x11.5") pencil/spraypaint/marker sketches and cost from around Β£50 ($70). They are available from my Big Cartel site as usual. Below is a preview of some of the selection of sketches. I'm also releasing 2 special artsts proofs of my sold out Basking Aingel print that include extra hand finishing and are varnished too. As per usual I will be including some randomly drawn extras for a couple of lucky buyers. Cheers for your attention,
R Sketches are available here: replete.bigcartel.com/
