Replete π¬π§ TPN Crew Graffiti β’ Leeds Graffiti Artist, by Replete on Sept 1, 2009 18:07:07 GMT 1, Brand new piece painted over the last few days in Leeds entitled The Soothing Sojourn Amongst The Sunshowers.
It's somewhat aptly titled as it was painted in constantly changing weather consisting of showers, sun, wind and everywhere in between barring snow, sleet and fog.
Even had some smoke from a local prison fire to add to the atmosphere.
It's loosely based on the track Sunshower by Busdriver taken from his Roadkillovercoat album which is one of the best ever hip hop albums ever made in my opinion.

Definately one of my favourite colours in spraypaint to use as a fade but it'd be god awful as a solid filled area.

I digress, great work as always R, I especially like the 3rd piece. Most alluring indeed. Lots of portraits from you lately, but in your own very distinct style. Most enjoyable, as your sitters tend to be rather attractive young ladies. Keep up the sterling work!

The first is entitled To Lean Towards The Curvilinear Calm:
It's 36x24 " in acrylics and spraypaint.
The second is called Caught In A Moments Musing:
It's 24x36" entirely in spraypaint on top of a built up layer of emulsion to give texture and pick out the figure's form.
I've tried to achieve a softer, grainy and looser look in these but in two different ways.
Any thoughts?

all I would say is sometimes the girls limbs get disfigured in a negative way which is not noticable in the sketches.
Are you doing any more abstract or less personel works soon just to throw some new bits in the mix.
Hlarmy still has one of my fav repletes of all time along with my angel.
It may not work but could you do a embrio you now all red and orange and lit up with the spooky darkness around it with the replete twist.
Think I'm having a crazy night
