Replete π¬π§ TPN Crew Graffiti β’ Leeds Graffiti Artist, by Replete on Sept 14, 2009 19:50:04 GMT 1, Thanks MM and I often abstract limbs and part of the the figure in order to brak them down into simplified geometric forms like in Cubism in order to merge them into the background of the piece and to move away from replicating realism in the piece.
Yeah I've got a few ideas in my head about more abstract pieces breaking figures down into blurs of motion or particles.
And I doubt not many people would want to see my take on a embryo as I think it wouldn't be pleasant. I do have a long running idea involving an embyo and a piece of everyday technology but I've been waiting til the time is ripe to paint it.

Maybe we should all join together like in Derren Brown's How To Win The Lottery and do some wisdom of the crowd to conjur up some wining numbers?

The first is entitled To Be Inclined Towards The Curvilinear Calm:
Β£400
It's 36x24 " in acrylics and spraypaint.
The second is called Caught In A Moments Musing:
Β£400
It's 24x36" entirely in spraypaint on top of a built up layer of emulsion to give texture and pick out the figure's form.
I've tried to achieve a softer, grainy and looser look in these but in two different ways.
Both canvases come with a free original pencil sketch used to paint the canvas.

Here's the outline for the piece and I'll soon be doing pieces almost entirely in outline form.

Aurora Utter Mundane original sketch by Replete - pencil and spraypaint on paper. 28 x 19.5cm. Signed on the front, titled and dated on the reverse. Comes with COA. Β£40 inc. postage within the UK by Special Delivery.
As you can see from the photos, the paper has creases - I think this is because Replete worked on creased paper (rather than him completing the piece on pristine paper which was then damaged), if you see what I mean. You can't really see the creases from the front but I wanted to show a photo of the reverse so you can see what I mean.

Something completely new today.
It's a girl doing a kung fu cartwheel move broken down into 10 frames of animation spread across a 12 fps timecode.
Painted in a semi futurist style with the body being broken down into geometric shapes.
Basically I wanted to use my animation skills on a wall as it's been years since I've done some animation and I've never taken it onto a wall.
Based loosely on Muybridge's photographic studies of movement from which I taught myself animation when I was a youngster and also the video from Cylob's Rewind track which is a personal favourite of mine:
I plan to do more of this style elaborating on the basic concept as I think there's plenty of scope and I found it really fun to do.
