Just a heads up about a forthcoming show this week in Leeds.

Below is a sneak preview of mine and Sune's background pieces to frame our canvases, sketches and a sculpture that'll be shown as the Caught exhibition at the unique architechtural wonder that is the Templeworks (built in 1840 as a flax mill that resembled an egyptian temple and at the time the largest room in the world) in Leeds this Friday.

On show will be some new work by a lot of Leeds writers and illustrators like myself, Sune, Drew Millard, Inkie, Will Barras, Pinky, Women 158, Diaz 57, Moe and The Pern.

Also there's retrospective of the best live doodles by over 50 leading artists from the past 4 years of the Best Joined Up events and live painting by me and the featured artists, animation and film showcases, music, food, booze and much much more.

ta lads and she's quite a statuesque lady standing nearly 12' high in her heels.

And yes Dell entirely sprayed onto the wall with a few eye tweaking tricks when seen at the intended angles.

why thanks I'm pleased the colour work is getting praise as it was a lot of work and thought to get all the blends right, transitioning through the entire spectrum in pretty much every combination from yellow on top of pink and purple under green and over orange.

I've been perfecting my technique over the last 3 years from when I started painting portraits and it's only really now that I'm getting to the point I've been aiming for doing the painting entirely out of spray to get the most of the medium without it being purely as a gimmik, getting effects not possible or very labourious with brushes.

And I know it's a cliche but this is one piece that definately does look way better in real life.

Thanks Ross and in reality the green isn't as strong/dark in colour. It was going to be a even lighter more pastel but I thought doing that shade darker gave it a good contrast as that side of the face is in shade and hints at a darker side of emotion/personality.

Also the darker green is required to balance the reds out on the lip/chin so it can then transition into the pinks/orange. If it'd been a light green she'd probably end up with face a frying pan ;D
