Same here. This piece is very striking in how the colours work together. There are so many lovely fades. Your portraits are getting better by the month!

Replete π¬π§ TPN Crew Graffiti β’ Leeds Graffiti Artist, by Heavyconsumer on Jun 12, 2010 0:45:17 GMT 1, Very impressive work. I admit that some of the colours aren't my cup of tea but they doo work together and, being a layman, I can only imagine how difficult it must be technically to do work like this. Some of the utter crap that does often receive all the hype is beyond me when guys like you are out there refining your skills and producing such beautiful work. If I were you, I'd be proud that those hype merchants steer you a wide berth as they clearly lack taste. You're 10 times the artist a lot of the more hyped and flipped guys are imo.

I really must get round to doing more large scale canvas studies as they have a mix of the qualities found in both the sketches and the paintings.

Replete π¬π§ TPN Crew Graffiti β’ Leeds Graffiti Artist, by Replete on Jun 21, 2010 18:41:11 GMT 1, Hi all been busy last week getting out and about indulging in my passion in life, adding pigment to walls.
The first piece entitled The Fragility Of Flight is the second part of a series based on the fact that when volcanic ash gets sucked into a jet engine it becomes super-heated and forms glass in the turbines leading them to breakdown. The only way to get them to work again is to turn the engines off, then drop to a lower altitude hoping the cold air shatters the glass off the blades and allowing the engine to be restarted.
So this if the major reason all those flights were recently cancelled resulting in a few of my friends being stranded, including my best mate getting stuck in Beirut.
So I painted the engines like they're made of glass highlighting their fragile nature in a series of states deconstructing them to left and right into my letters and shards of glass are being sucked into the engines and ejected out the back.
The background colour transitions from a warm earth tone to a cool blue grey at the top hinting at the ground and the sky laden with ash.
The second piece is done with my crew mate Pryme with me doing a fragmented statuesque cloaked figure with Pryme's 3D letters forming to his right:
The third was a 1 hour quick bit of unplanned french fun with my friend Women 158 where he did the perky breasted lady and I created her tricoloured hair hinting at the cliche of onions and garlic and topped off with her Effiel tower headgear:

Replete π¬π§ TPN Crew Graffiti β’ Leeds Graffiti Artist, by Replete on Jun 29, 2010 18:32:28 GMT 1,
For many years I've been encountering the recurring number 333 numerous times if my daily life, especially in time of personal upheaval. For many years I've incorporated it into my artwork and this piece continues and explores the phonomena further which I believe is to do with synchronicity and the underlying fabric of the universe we are all made up of and to some small extent able to perceive it's inner workings on an intuitional level.
In this piece I've turned my name into an equation (loosely derived from the mechanics of rotational energy) sketched out on a piece of paper. Over the equation is a ghostly second outline spelling replete.
The hand is sketched in a single shade of black red.
