Adam Neate in the paper.., by baldwin on Aug 26, 2007 19:05:14 GMT 1, Cool, thanks for these.
What are people's thoughts on this statement:
"a much heralded painter at the forefront of a radical new movement in contemporary art that has seen him bring street art into the gallery space"
'Radical new movement in contemporary art' - what exactly do you think they are refering to?
Cool, thanks for these.

I think they're referring to "Street art" most probably. Though the article reads a little sensationalist for me.
I've said it before - I know Adam very much considers himself a street artist, which he undoubtedly is. Though I don't see him as someone bringing street art to gallery space, but much more as someone who has been brought gallery art to the streets.

Aug 2006, decent sized canvas 600-900 quid. Most expensive piece up until Sept 06 was 4k. Darkhearts on cardborad series 200 quid, other cardbioard pieces from 100-400 quid . Those were the days. ;D

Adam on beautiful crime had a LOT of his earlier canvasses going for much less before the first Elms show.

He's been on the telly too. He's very TV friendly. He can produce his art quickly like tony hart (jesus there a thread there for the taking) or rolf harris but much better and has a good TV personality. I guess it all helps. Whats his wife's name, anyone know?

Adam Neate in the paper.., by dotdot on Aug 26, 2007 22:24:48 GMT 1, stratospheric.
One word to describe this rise in ... interest / popularity / cost to buy anything...
The works he is producing are coming from all angles... 2d / 3d / photo / pottery
he is currently one artist who defies description - which in itself is worthy of note.
the Show @ elms finished yesterday.. we'll now have to wait till oct to see anything new...
