"hey ladies and germs
2007 has been quite a change from the last few years, where i exhibited non-stop.
this year i had one show at the begining of the year and nothing planned ever.
people keep asking me when i'm gonna have another show, and i keep saying never.

plus my manic depression has taken up so much of my time
i've only been doing private comissions. anyways never say never.
in early ,2008 on February 21st,
i will skip the pond to the U.K.
bring the thunder and lightning and proceed to tear LONDON a new dirty asshole.
it will be my honor to exhibit with, steve lazarides at his gallery

This forum (and WC) seems to create its on micro-economy. The first of the City Girl 76's went for ยฃ1300, then someone on this forum offered ยฃ1300 for one straight up. Thats all it takes it 2 people fighting on ebay for one rare print and the price rockets. They both get one as people decide to cash in and the next one sold only goes for ยฃ800 on ebay. The seller scratches head and wonders why. So whats the real value, as us lot creating hype and panic buying is skewing the real value.
I guess when the secondary market continually performs, such as Banksy, then you can see the value, but with Choe at the moment, ebay sellers are asking silly money and not getting it. ยฃ600 for Pull My Scarf etc, just aint gonna sell. ยฃ1250 for City Girl 150 probably won't go either.
So agreed some of Choe's prints have sold for $2000, but not consistently enough to ascertain real values, surely?

Couldn't agree more. While I don't particularly want to encourage another long debate on print values. I think there's plenty of evidence substantiating this theory.

This is what my post is saying. The price hype is there because we create it a lot of the time.
Because of that, people shouldn't get carried away with what they think are investments. And agreed, not wanting another investment/values thread. I'm loving Choe's stuff, but not prepared to pay over the odds for it if i can help it.

And hey PE that was a kind gesture. I hope your friend has repaid your kindness. Or was it purely an act of evil altruism? ;D
Anyways, I can't wait to see Choe's work in the flesh. His art is so out there. It seems we all have our favourite Choe piece and it's great because there seems to be something for everyone in his diverse, yet immediately identifiable work.
I really love his attitude as well. You just have to read his blogs to get that. I have to say - right now, he's doing exacltly what I would be doing if I had a) the bollox and b) the talent. ;D
And yes, I am still praying on that City Girl 150 landing in my lap one day!
