Micallef -Sale news, by ABC on Nov 27, 2007 15:16:46 GMT 1, I agree, Micallef is a very a talented artist and in the flesh his work is amazing. The problem I have is not with Micallef but with Laz, He is trying to squeeze money from his work 10 years too early.
Yes, It has worked for Banksy but It cannot work for all of his artists. Why not let Micallef dictate to us by producing his amazing stuff, rather than Laz saying "look he can sell works for $100k plus" he's great.

Micallef -Sale news, by uksnowman on Dec 10, 2007 15:52:37 GMT 1, Bit off topic but does anyone have any tips on storage of very large prints like GIWTBB?
I've left it a bit long but mine is still in the tube and I'd like to store it flat for a month or two before taking it to the framers. Since it's hard to get an A0 folder (don't think even these are big enough), does anyone have any ideas as to how to store these flat?
I have some collectorprints cardboard packaging from an Ian Francis which it might fit in, was thinking of putting it in this with some acid free archival paper around the print?

Micallef -Sale news, by neutral on Dec 10, 2007 16:17:25 GMT 1, Micallef's work is genius especially the charcoal pieces such as FF JD and now GIWTBB.
All these pieces are actually oil on canvas.

Micallef -Sale news, by uksnowman on Dec 10, 2007 16:59:24 GMT 1, I use 2 large sheets of acid free backing board bought from a framers, then cover each side of the print in tissue, used gaffa tape for a hinge with the inner edge protected with another strip of tape to prevent any accidental stickiness It works very well, is acid free and costs about ยฃ15 to make.
+1 mate, thanks very much. Like the idea, simple and effective. Will try and get some acid-free backing board.
I guess this might be what collectorprints used for my Ian Francis flat pack (two pieces of suspended from the outer cardboard packaging with the print inside).
