Current Faile market........................, by wimpy on Apr 1, 2008 22:32:41 GMT 1, Considering an edition of 170 was sold at $1000 each, $4000 would make sense for editions of 10, 15, 20.
I surely hope it isn't the case, though.

Current Faile market........................, by pezlow on Apr 2, 2008 7:58:57 GMT 1, I hope so too.
I thought that faile got their pricing at the August 2007 release about right - smaller prints were around $700, bigger prints up to $2,100 and plenty in between. Very sad to say it but if the prices are south of that then I will not be able to collect faile anymore because the prices will be out of my range.
Although the my confessions edition size was large it should not be forgotten that it was a HUGE print and had handfinishing on it. I guess that makes $1,000 about the right price. I don't think it means that they will raise their prices that dramatically for their other pieces. Although the news that they are to take part in an exhibition at Tate modern this morning probably doesn't help.
I hope so too.

I agree Pez. the last release had something for everyone with differences in size resulting in differences in cost. And for those with better disposable incomes some great originals. IMO and very limited experience they have set the bar too for customer care. I dont think they will hoike up their prices too much and alienate a strong and continually increasing fan base....I personally just dont think its their business ethic at all. Agreed the last one was ok price wise for the size, finish and who they are. No one does it better. Any details on the Tate Modern involvement? Ta H

Current Faile market........................, by spencerlee on Apr 2, 2008 9:16:06 GMT 1, I had a dream last night that I sold my Red Butterfly Girl, and the new owner was stroking it and saying 'very nice'. I wasn't very happy. I blame this thread.
