BLEK LE RAT SHOW OPENING TONIGHT!!!, by artstylee on Apr 6, 2008 6:50:45 GMT 1, Just got back from the Blek Le Rat show in LA. Packed w/a line of about 100+ before doors opened at 8:00.
A great body of work. Awesome show. Blek was a nice guy and took photos and signed personalized show posters for those who turned out.
Loved the art. Especially photos of work in the streets. Also Full Sized Stencil on Canvas peices are much larger than I anticipated.
4 different silver prints were produced looked great. Sold Out Quick. 1/2 VIP Night, and the rest tonight.
Brought my camera but forgot to snap pics. There was alot of photographers there though,
Does Anybody Have Any Pics to post? ??
Big Up to Subliminal/Obey and Blek Le Rat for making it happen.
Managed to grab the Blek US Version Book. Can't wait to check it out.

Yep, prices are high, much higher then they were at the Levine show

And you can thank my brother for picking up a set of prints for you bored with screen names...I just slipped him the dough and he did all the work. They look great...I'm really happy with my prints. I love the idea but still not sure why Shep signed them.

Blek and Sybille are probably the nicest people I have ever met. they are just so open and willing to have a conversation with you. I also picked up a set of prints, they are really nice. I think Shepard signed them because they were Studio Number One releases.
I was speaking with Sybille and she told me that Christina Aguillera came in and bought a few photos and canvases and ordered some stuff. Apparently she is well educated in the art market and knows what she is buying.
i wish i had the funds to buy a canvas. unfortunately, it will have to wait until some other point in my life. I still think that Blek's work is underrated and that he will blow up soon.
