Street artist's Rubik's cubism
A PUZZLE wizard has created Leonardo Da Vinci’s Mona Lisa using Rubik’s cubes.
The mystery street artist – known only as Invader – used up to 800 of the cult 1980s cubes for the image.
He painstakingly twists each cube to get the colours he wants on the top face before carefully placing them next to each other on a hardboard.
He has recreated images of famous paintings such as Andy Warhol’s Campbell’s Soup, historic events like the Twin Tower attack on 9/11 and celebrities like Stanley Kubrik.
It can take up to two days to twist the Rubik’s cubes – with their limited pallete of six colours – into the required position.
The mystery artist has to buy the cubes in bulk – most recently 15,000 in one go.
His prized works fetch between £5,000 and £20,000 at the Lazarides gallery, in London, which also displays work by the likes of Banksy.

Yep deffo PR
I personally love Invader and have many of his prints, IKs and a OG. Hope this does mean a new show as his last at Laz was wicked. And the one in Viennna was also tops.
