Oh, that makes sense. I didn't realise the Giant Rat was behind the Foundry, I thought it was further down Rivington Street. Thanks for the info.

"GRAFFITI artist Banksy has called on developers not to spare his graffiti on the walls of a popular Shoreditch arts venue due to be demolished to make way for a hotel.
Last week Hackney council's planning committee approved a planning application to demolish the Foundry and build a 350 bedroom 17 storey Art'otel on the site at Great Eastern Street and the corner of Rivington Street.
The developers plan to keep two large art works which Banksy painted on the outside of the building and incorporate them into the hotel. They feature his trademark urban rat and also a television being thrown out of a window but the artist has asked them not to save his work.
Elsewhere art lovers campaign for councils to save Banksy's work.
The Foundry is looking for a new home nearby.
In a comment sent to the Gazette the artist who is only known as Banksy said: "The council should definitely have designated the Foundry as an art space.
He added: "No one ever went there for the beer - it was always a bit warm and flat.
"I would appeal to the developers not to keep my graffiti. It's a bit like
demolishing the Tate and preserving the ice cream van out the front."
