I just find it very interesting researching this market, maybe because I'm quite new to these prices.
Seeing the same print at different galleries and prices are more than 10KEUR apart, then it's an interesting market.

Sometimes buyers get lucky.
Sometimes the bubble works and is a safe haven for buyer and seller.
I have no idea what im trying to say but there we are.

If you are reseaching prices just dont forget that this forum is a bubble in that market, out there is the big wide world and commerce rules. Im not sure about the Art market but I assume it is like any other, auctions are where the trade buy, they then sell on to either a private or another dealer and so on, eventually after everyone in the chain has added their wage the item is obviosly a fair chunk more than the auction price, its business. I initially joined the forum to see if it was possible to purchase some prints, but in the end I ended up buying 2 from galleries in the UK instead. Both pretty much ending up at the same price as on the forum.
The info and help I have gotten form members here really helped in the process though, and also gave me the confidence to go ahead with the purchases, even if I live on the other side of the world.
Thanks for taking the time to have a look at my post and for contributing to my constant search for knowledge.
I appreciate that Wiz. So far this forum has been a great place to gain knowledge and to get in touch with other art interested people.

Unless they specialise like say Prescription or Castle they don't really have any idea and they almost don't want to sell as could be worth more tomorrow and are not in the game to get another one. So it's difficult for them to judge price and sell which is quite weird as they almost over price to be sure....... based on if your stupid enough to pay that price you can have it.
Where as a gallery that knows the market can buy add a mark up sell and then look to source another piece etc because as we see on here there is still a turnover of pieces and pieces available.
