Methinks yes and probably missed out on one when you could actually buy them for few hundred pounds not so long ago ! Still, each to their own and all that and that Happy choppers won't hang around too long, unlike mr grand masters envy lol. Go Banksy!!!

The grand master owns both unsigned and signed banksys for clarification. I just don’t value them that highly as art. They are investment pieces that will afford me the luxury of selling and investing in something that I would deem ‘special’
It’s all just opinions of course but the price points now, don’t make sense and eventually we will see what / who was driving the madness.
OP very sorry to derail and good luck with the sale

Maybe you need to look a little closer to home to find your answer😉 I would say a big reason for who was driving the madness is 'investors' like yourself that bought for purely investment purposes. These were £45 pretty posters to hang on your wall, maybe you should stick to the £5k posters from 'avant(got a clue what I like)art'🙃

Ha ha this says so much more about your lack of art education than mine. Avant have and continue to work with some extraordinary artists and buying editions like studio drift, Jenny holzer, and friedrich Kunath will prove intelligent buys.
It’s fair to say you have no idea what I really have in my collection because I don’t show it off. I talk about artists on my pages but don’t discuss what I physically own. I’m very happy with my purchases and achievements in a short time as a collector.
I could teach you an awful lot but I fear you are too stupid to listen..
What a fuckwitt 😂

Did I forget to tell you to sell at the top of the market? You are better than this terry, any artist only bought and sold on UAA has a life span. Pejac had a good run...

I’d always want to offer a sale to the good members of this forum but when you see examples like this, where a member has posted a clear for sale and at what is a market price, it certainly makes me question whether it’s worth it

It’s a forum . It’s soul purpose is debate.
I can assure you , the sales thread is just fine! His DMs are full and a sale will be closed soon..

Banksy Happy Chopper Print, by Reader on Oct 31, 2020 13:36:41 GMT 1, Hmmmm I wonder if old grand master envy actually would like to own an unsigned Banksy right now ! They are investment pieces that will afford me the luxury of selling and investing in something that I would deem ‘special’ It’s all just opinions of course but the price points now, don’t make sense and eventually we will see what / who was driving the madness. OP very sorry to derail and good luck with the sale There are prints by modern and contemporary artists who have had far less influence on the field or even in their own genre that now command $millions and will continue to do so. There's no reason to think why limited edition prints from the most renowned living artist in the field of Street Art, won't reach the same dizzying heights in the future. You'll for sure see a healthy return on 70k, as you did on 500, 1k, 5k, 20k etc etc...

I agree prices are mental, and I wouldn't pay anything like the prices being asked now for prints, but that's my opinion and I don't feel the need to scream it at people who don't agree with me to justify my existence on this forum. In summary, debate = good, being a c**t= bad.

As I’ve explained many times. I have both signed and unsigned. It doesn’t stop me knowing this is a nonsense price point.
I know Mike right? It’s awful when people talk the truth and cause a ripple in team wanksys Ponzi scheme.. It’s funny but also heartbreaking to see people invest in this at this level.. £70,000!! SEVENTY THOUSAND 🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️ Lol 😂 what a dufus, just sound bitter you missed out and they’re going further out of reach.. on the other hand I did think the same thing about the posters, there are so many good artists you can pick up originals for less than a grand, much like Banksy’s were 1998-2003 As I’ve explained many times. I have both signed and unsigned. It doesn’t stop me knowing this is a nonsense price point.

Banksy Happy Chopper Print, by Sir Ruddington on Oct 31, 2020 14:09:53 GMT 1, Did I forget to tell you to sell at the top of the market? Serious question. What do you suspect will be the top of the Banksy print market? I have a very vested interest in this as I am a pauper who purchased a couple unsigned prints a couple years ago and now have the opportunity to actually have a savings account if/when I sell. It would help my family to no end. Do you have any suspicions as to what the ceiling might be? I never bought for investment but cannot ignore the sums being thrown around today. I always said I would be content to get out what I put in, but I would be lying and gutted today if I missed out on paying for my kids' university by waiting too long.
PS. OP - GLWTS

Banksy Happy Chopper Print, by Mass on Oct 31, 2020 14:13:34 GMT 1, A genuine post well and truly hijacked. I’d always want to offer a sale to the good members of this forum but when you see examples like this, where a member has posted a clear for sale and at what is a market price, it certainly makes me question whether it’s worth it It’s a forum . It’s soul purpose is debate. I can assure you , the sales thread is just fine! His DMs are full and a sale will be closed soon.. Debate yes, describing people as fucking idiots and joint they get fucking burnt aren’t appropriate debating points in my opinion. The post was under the art for sale and that was your contribution which whilst it may be sold, the comments would have pissed me off.

If it’s got to the point that it’s life changing and causing you to worry about potential future value I’d say it was a great time to sell. Good luck whatever you choose to do.

Banksy Happy Chopper Print, by Sir Ruddington on Oct 31, 2020 15:40:54 GMT 1, You might be better to post this in a new thread rather than hijacking a fellow members sales thread. While I completely agree, that train left the station a while ago. This is the western frontier. I would not have posted here if I did not feel the thread was now more related to my query than its original purpose. I do apologize to the OP and others taking offence but I suspect the OP print is now sold and if not, every time this gets bumped to the top, it can only help the OP. I won't post here again. Anybody with an opinion on my query may PM me if they please.
Hijack? Mama mia, somebody is in need of a hug. I hope this follow up post is not viewed as me "holocausting" this thread.

Banksy Happy Chopper Print, by Charlie Bronson on Oct 31, 2020 16:32:51 GMT 1, Lol 😂 what a dufus, just sound bitter you missed out and they’re going further out of reach.. on the other hand I did think the same thing about the posters, there are so many good artists you can pick up originals for less than a grand, much like Banksy’s were 1998-2003 As I’ve explained many times. You’re entitled to an opinion, but how exactly is this a nonsense price point? The market is set via supply and demand. There’s little supply, and high demand. If original paintings are going for close to eight figure sums, why would a limited run print, of a few hundred, going for 70k, be nonsense? The math makes absolute sense.
Based on B’s past strategic moves that continually elevate him as an artist, you honestly think 10-20 years from now these prints aren’t going to be fetching 10x what they are now? I’m betting today’s “nonsense” price points will be viewed as bargains in the not so distant future. Sure, it’s all speculation, but using the info we have, and based on how things have shaped up the past 15 years or so, it seems to be shaping up that way. One of several reasons imho, despite the temptation of a nice pay day and ROI right now, everyone here should hang onto their B prints. OP, GLWTS.
