Aiko vs Faile, by meatbag on Sept 25, 2007 3:31:36 GMT 1, What do you all think about the prices for an Aiko original vs Faile? Obviously they were all together at one time but was wondering if Aiko commands the a similar price range now that she's solo? Lineage in Philadelphia is doing a group show with her in '08 and was wondering what to expect? Any help would be sweet. Thx.

Aiko vs Faile, by Johnston America on Sept 25, 2007 4:21:14 GMT 1, I think a lot of it depends on the particular piece... Faile really came into their own this year with the New York show and hooking up w/ Laz though so she may not quite be there yet.. time will tell.. her stuff does seem a lot harder to come by though so that may count for something as well.. just my .02

Aiko vs Faile, by Filipino Box Spring Hog on Sept 25, 2007 4:53:10 GMT 1, I have an Aiko original I paid a great deal of money for. I like it very very much. I'm curious to see what the Lineage prices will be as well...I personally think that if there is a time to buy, buy now..as she is just starting out on her own. Prices will rise as the time goes by.

Aiko vs Faile, by Simococo on Sept 25, 2007 13:34:54 GMT 1, Aiko was responsible for most of Faile's early street work but she hasn't the same following on her own. Faile's originals can go for 30k so Aiko is more affordable at the mo'

Aiko vs Faile, by absyrd on Sept 25, 2007 16:18:32 GMT 1, I won't make a comment until I'm at Lineage and see for myself. I haven't come across enough of her solo work, but I also understand that many of the Faile images they still use today were most inspired by her.

Aiko vs Faile, by sham69 on Sept 25, 2007 16:24:35 GMT 1, There's no comparison regarding the prices. Failes are miles more expensive. I was at the Aiko show in NY in July and they were as cheap as chips. I've noticed some of the works from this show crop on ebay since then mind and they've been marked a good deal higher. Aiko also had a showing in Spain about a month ago and hardly anything sold, you wouldn't get that with Faile. The stuff that went through Black Rat earlier today flew.
