It isnt just scanned and printed. There is plenty of work going into making it look its best. I dont know enough to argue the fading point though, will read up a bit.

Adam Neate โข Calm Fear, by Rude Copper on Apr 28, 2007 22:27:59 GMT 1, an update on the giclee arguement, i took my print to my framer today, & we were talking about the quality of it, the detail is scarily good, in somes parts it actually looks like real paint, anyways, my framer says that the ink used now in giclees is pigmented & the result is comparable now to any other process, & in certain instances such as this, superior. check this link

traditionalist's will always argue about the process having no 'art' to it, but really, the giclee arguement seems to get thinner every day.

Some have more than one available which I think is pretty shocking really. Given the difficulty getting through I cannot believe they all managed it. Were they allowed to buy more than one print. I think given the speed they sold out there was some other deal going on for 'special' people.
Not impressed and I don't think the so called lovely people at Elmslesters are quite as lovely as they seem. I think the staff are having a bit of a POW moment with all the attention.

how do you know online galleries have more than one copy for starters?
also if this is true the most likely explanation is that they been sold additional copies by the original owner / or paid a commission by the owner to sell them for them.
think its time to stop with the conspiracy theories and get over the fact you didn't get one.
the simple fact is they were overwhelmed by the unexpected demand (2 weeks last time to sell out)

I do have to agree with sausage to a degree - but as I've not been to the gallery yet I won't comment further.
