Banksy Heavy Weaponry at Bonhams, by ejvaze on Oct 20, 2007 22:47:34 GMT 1, Does anyone know why the Heavy Weaponry Canvas that Bonhams are selling at their auction this week is facing the other way ie to the Right rather than to the Left as per the details on the Original canvas section of this forum?
www.bonhams.com/cgi-bin/public.sh/pubweb/publicSite.r?sContinent=EUR&screen=lotdetailsNoFlash&iSaleItemNo=3712003&iSaleNo=14942
( you may need to cut and past this link)
Also it is not signed on the back with the Banksy signature but has the Banksy Red Tag printed on the side? Also what puzzles me is why it should be numbered the same as the one that was in the Bloomsbury auction last week. 12/25
The one at Bloomsbury which I did see was signed Banksy! 04 on the reverse but did not have the red Banksy tag printed on the side of it. Also it was facing the same way as all the others I have see ie to the Left as per the details on this forum and one I saw last year on ebay.
Anyone know why this Bonhams one should be different? Yet numbered the same?

Banksy Heavy Weaponry at Bonhams, by Pattycakes on Oct 22, 2007 8:43:55 GMT 1, I seem to remember there were two versions os the edition, one signed in ink, one tagged. I think that the tagged ones are a slightly different shape also.

Thanks printguru I thought this might have been the case. I am off to Bonhams tonight to look at the Banksys so will take a look My favorite has to be 'Attack of the Badly Drawn Boy' but with an estimate of ยฃ20,000 - ยฃ30,000 which I am sure will be exceeded I shall be just looking and will stay well clear of the sale room on Wednesday ;D

There are some really nice pieces, but alas unless I win the daily lottery none are heading my way
