A picture by graffiti artist Banksy of a row of chimps wearing placards saying: "Laugh now, but one day we'll be in charge" is set to fetch up to £200,000 at auction.
The six-metre spray painting was originally commissioned for the bar of the Ocean Rooms nightclub in Brighton in 2002.
It is one of 22 works by the controversial artist up for auction at Bonhams in London on February 5, expected to fetch a total of up to £530,000.

What do you reckon 1/4 of a Mill? ?
Some of the guide prices seem high to me but you never know what's gonna happen at auction

They had various soupcan canvasses ed's of 10 at £5k each too.

£200k Apes by Banksy, by Warm Gun on May 6, 2011 22:37:44 GMT 1, I was reading the Brighton Argus yesterday and on the front page was news of yet another Banksy piece that is being sold from the Ocean Rooms nightclub.
Apparently as builders were renovation the property they discovered a long lost Banksy commission under layers of paint a door. It was a punk character in a union jack t-shirt. He had wings on his back and was not dissimilar in appearance to the ikea punk. The piece was tagged and has been authenticated by Pest control as it was an official commission.
The report stated that it could fetch a million pound and has received huge interest from buyers in the USA.
The bizarre thing about this is that there is no mention of this story in the Argus archive or anywhere else on line despite it being on the front page.
I can't even find the image of it.
