Its just been plastered over, then banksy has done his magic using the old cut it out stencil. I may be wrong but maybe Mr B snuck in there one night, destroyed his own work, chipping it off then plastered over it to say f**k you to the people making money from the street art.

There is a very distinctive crack in the 'new plaster' above the LLEC in Collected, which appeared on the Old Skool pic, which surely should have vanished should it have been plastered over. It has been covered by the small shed for about 5 weeks which is a long time to just paint it over.

I can't quite work out what has happened here. Sent so many people to look at it over the years. Even my granparents thought it rocked when i showed them a few months ago...
I can remember seeing it for the first time after a messy night at Turnmills...... Always has been a fav. Made me want to go out and get busy with some Spray paint

To me it looks like the old image has just been painted over with a plasterish looking pink paint rather than a fresh load of plaster as there are still all the cracks etc. from before. Which would mean the original image has been painted over..... But why so long to do it.....mmmm

Its a real shame this has to happen, but i would rather this than some t**t making a profit out of street art for the people.
