from £15 to £250, you'd hope they're monoprints!

Not excusing the price hike but these are slightly larger.

501 x 608 mm compared to 298 x 419mm

Happy I got at £15 for 4 there great, but only colour copies! Great artist though! Big price hike though, very clever mrking?

Is it clever marketing though ? It's not as though really *any* marketing is at hand, isn't this is just quality work being recognised as such by the bright people here ?

I agree about the price jump.... but there are some gorgeous prints in this lot. Seriously tempting, especially now my debts are all gone

these are loads bigger, guessing the quality is a lot higher as well. hmm, perhaps £250 is a bit steep. not for me to say, but wouldn't want to say 'too steep for an unknown artist' cause on his blog its seems he's been experimenting with different styles for quite a while. even opened up his own store at one point. plus, there is loads of crap out there for that price, think prices have gone mental across the board.

besides all that, I am tempted as they look well sexy. I really prefer RELENTLESS ABBREVIATION out of al of these, so I might wait for its release. loads of detail, reckon is would look sweet at this size.

Yeah I guess you're right. Seems crazy that only a short while back you could get a print from SOS or Let Them Hang for something like £45!

Wow, now that's definitely taking his work to new levels.
I like Russ' work, but £15 (or thereabouts) to £250 for a giclee print is a little steep for a new artist in my opinion.
I know he's just signed to Red Propellor, but come on. Like others have said you can get a far more established artists work for similar or lower prices. You only have to look at some recent releases and prices from artists like C215 to see what I'm saying.
Some galleries really are taking the piss. Just because his work is popular doesn't mean it will continue to sell at these prices.
'Biting the hand that feeds' springs to mind. Especially as his rise to popularity (and hopefully success) was mainly due to forum members and their appreciation of his work.

I can't help but feel really annoyed by the price, I was looking forward to some new work by him as I think he has a great talent. Its as if he wants pay back for letting his work go at £15, surely if he priced his new work right it would be an instant sell out and benefit him in the long term.

It could be thought of as good marketing cos he's sold the others at £15.00 ,sold them all out,got lots of interest .We're talking about him & creating a 'buzz' so now he's got a large fanbase and so, as people are interested in him he feels that he can charge a higher price.
I'd say it's VERY good marketing but apart from that he is a good artist & the prints are excellent !

Bring on the originals.

if those new print are just computer print outs like the first lot this is silly prices and im disapointed in russ ( although i dont know him or his reasons for this). hype is selling the old ones at the mo sell while you can imo.
At the end of the day the last ones were £15 with shipping and quality packaging so how much are they to make 5-8 quid max.
That is a hell of a mark up, i mean there are people slating grafter for charging 250 for a canvas edit of 20. Think you all have been badgering the wrong guy personally.
I wont be pulling the plug sorry russ and its not because i dont like your work its the principal, if some think im wrong to act like that say your peice but my mind is made up even if they are a future classic i think russ has done what some of you have said about blek ( which i disagree with also)
