Russ Mills ๐ฌ๐ง Byroglyphics โข New Paintings , by dand212 on Jul 6, 2008 0:13:18 GMT 1, Russ Mills (Byroglyphics) Absolute legend
Purchased one print from his site and had massive problems getting it delivered,. Nothing to do with Russ, the post office messed up basically. He not only sent me another print but he popped a little something extra in there for me too. And all out of his own pocket.
An absolute gentleman and fantastic art to boot.
I wouldn't have found out about his art without reading this forum so felt it was only right to let the forum know how helpful he had been.

Russ Mills ๐ฌ๐ง Byroglyphics โข New Paintings , by low3 on Jul 8, 2008 23:59:42 GMT 1, Love them, but I can't bring myself to pay ยฃ95 for one.
Fair enough, i know its a larger print than the pre-propeller ones, and in the grand scheme of things it's fairly cheap in todays mad world of print pricing. But come on, we were all paying ยฃ15 for them just a couple of months ago, and i don't see how signing up with a gallery such as red propeller can justify such an increase.
Is it the gallery just trying to cash in?!

Russ Mills ๐ฌ๐ง Byroglyphics โข New Paintings , by robinbanks on Jul 9, 2008 9:08:34 GMT 1, I think it's a reasonable price. Not only is it a much larger print, it is also of a much higher quality. The prints from Byroglyphics online store were fantastic for ยฃ15 but at the end of the day they were little more than signed print outs from a desktop printer.
I think these new ones fall more into the category of fine art prints. They're Giclee's, they're printed on museum quality archival paper, and they are a slightly smaller edition also (20 instead of 25). Those factors, coupled with the larger size are bound to increase the price considerably. Perhaps not all the way to ยฃ95 (+VAT) but, like the chap before said, the gallery will want to make some money and, although it's very early days, it does seem like Russ' star is rising right now.

Russ Mills ๐ฌ๐ง Byroglyphics โข New Paintings , by My Name is Frank on Jul 9, 2008 13:23:54 GMT 1, Got myself a VIOLIUM last night. The guy is a very talented artist. Came to ยฃ111 in total. Maybe a little steep but I remember paying almost that back in the day for a Habitat print that 1million other people could have on their walls. Signed edition of 20 can't be sniffed at, and its a very decent size. But most importantly, I really like it. Will say more when it arrives.

Russ Mills ๐ฌ๐ง Byroglyphics โข New Paintings , by My Name is Frank on Jul 26, 2008 23:22:23 GMT 1, Received my new Violium print today. Gotta say: beautiful. Image may be a bit smaller than expected (3in 'ish white border all round) but very nice print job. Looks almost as good as an original. Not flat at all considering its giclee. Its already in the framers (Outer Edge, Eltham) but will have a go at posting pics once finished next Saturday. Very pleased. ps Am I the last person to find out that Giclee is French for inkjet???
