Kings Framers in Lewes, by darrenrapley on Dec 11, 2008 16:30:06 GMT 1, Hi forum,
Has anyone here used Kings Framers in Lewes? www.kingsframers.com/
I have been there and looks great but haven't used them yet and thinking of framing an expensive (for me) print.
I would use Mr Frameman as they are recommended by, well, everyone but I live in Hastings and Lewes is nearer.
Many thanks
Darren

Kings Framers in Lewes, by ©hief' on Dec 11, 2008 16:46:58 GMT 1, I went in there for the first time last week, looks the business and I'm considering getting my Nola done there. Used to use artrepublic but they are way too expensive and my 'cheap' framer over in Hove aint as good as he used to be. So yeah, anyone used them? Any good?

Kings Framers in Lewes, by I like pictures on Dec 11, 2008 17:04:16 GMT 1, I've used them to get my Dface SI's framed, they are not cheap, but do hand finish every frame are polite and friendly. I was very pleased with the job they did for me but at the cost it was i would think again about using them again.

I might get a price from them first. Chief, keep me informed of your Nola and if I get mine done there, I will keep you informed mate.

Kings Framers in Lewes, by bradpitt on Dec 11, 2008 19:08:50 GMT 1, Expect £250 + per frame for something like Romanywg's, you get what you pay for though. I would wait until January as Art Republic usually have a 15% off framing sale, as do many other places.

Kings Framers in Lewes, by curiousgeorge on Dec 11, 2008 19:53:30 GMT 1, Is it just me or do ornate frames as per the one's posted, 'takeaway' from the image. Often i find myself staring at a frame rather than the image. In defence i would say 'some' work looks good framed in that style, but for the most part i just think urghhh

Kings Framers in Lewes, by romanywg on Dec 11, 2008 20:05:35 GMT 1, I do have some 'normal' frames. You have to see the ornate frames where they hang to get the complete effect. Our house is completely OTT..

Kings Framers in Lewes, by darrenrapley on Dec 11, 2008 20:14:06 GMT 1, I think you are right Romany. That frame for the C215 really works. I have just got a C215 back today (free stencil of his in a book I bought) and yours looks better. (Mine was only £35 though). I will post in a sec..
Guess you get what you pay for...
Thanks for the advice forum
