Gagosian Gallery is pleased to announce the opening of its first retail venue located on the ground floor of 988 Madison Avenue.

Designed by Daniel Rowen Architects with MN Design in collaboration with Gagosian Gallery, this 2,500 square foot space will feature Gagosian publications, posters, prints, and magazines as well as limited editions by John Currin, Tom Friedman, Ellen Gallagher, Damien Hirst, Jeff Koons, Marc Newson, Richard Prince, Anselm Reyle, Ed Ruscha, Tom Sachs, and Franz West to name a few.

This venture will also offer Gagosian Gallery and our artists an exciting and new opportunity to create innovative projects in the medium of editions and artist books, generating a new forum for artists to work within.

The space will present rotating artist projects, beginning with a presentation of Richard Prince's newest limited edition artist book, Bettie Kline. The Gagosian store will also offer a reading lounge with out-of-print Gagosian titles, a video installation of current gallery exhibitions, and collaborations with established artists on works exclusively for the store.

1nkling • I can't help but think that a more reasonable tier for people who just want to support the work you guys do would raise more income. Then other tiers for those that want specialist benefits.

1nkling • As soon as I saw the heading for the email I thought 'Oh yeah, I use that place a lot. I'd happily support it'. Not at £40 a month though. I have a paid sub for a Formula 1 site I use that is very active. They have a high uptake on subs at £12 a year.
