Search Engine Optimization Companies, by skanky on Mar 15, 2010 19:50:05 GMT 1, Hi do you know of anyone or companies that are good at Search Optimization. We have been shafted by a company who took our money and its been a disaster from the start.
Any and all advice would be greatly appreciated.

I hate to say it, but most SEO companies are little more than hot air (unless charging at a CPC rate). Be weary of a company guaranteeing you top positions, etc. The best most companies can do with SEO is guaranteeing you organic positions based on CPC positions and at a set rate ...unless blackhat or greyhat methods are used which can be great in the short term but dangerous for longterm positioning.
I have done SEO personally for years, but it's not something I'd ever guarantee a person positions with. If I come across the name of a reputable company, I will let you know, but the real deal companies will generally charge in the $X,XXX's per month (not sure of your budget).

Thanks for the help mate , we spent about ยฃ2k at the time and were promised the earth ! Its been a total waste of time, money and effort so far. If you ever want to take on a private project give me a shout
