THE PURE EVIL SHOW, by jboy on May 17, 2007 23:16:38 GMT 1, Just thought i would start a new thread. Went down to the show tonight. There was some very cool stuff there including the pandas stuff which always makes me laugh. Saw a draw full of Pure Evil prints as well which looked really cool. Especially the black on black, which i strongly recommend if you have got a spare 150 quid as the print looks amazing.
The ultra violet print was good as well, but not to sure about the richard pryor one, but some one had bought it so its going to a good home. Any donations of one of the neon signs as well would be good Mr Evil!

THE PURE EVIL SHOW, by speebe on May 17, 2007 23:34:35 GMT 1, Just got back too... noticed all the usual crowd from POW there too.... Had to resist the urge to nag them about the next Banksy release.
Liked what I saw of PE's work... made me really rethink my initial stance on the black on black, I might have been pursuaded to part with my cash tonight too but the lack of beer inhibits my purchasing habits.
Nice solo effort... mucho props! 
Although it wasn't clear to me what i could purchase or prices... I'm shy when flying solo without a beer!

I was about a wallets clip away from buying one, just because they looked so awesome, but held back a bit and slowly wondered out wondering if i had made the right choice!

It looks absolutely stunning behind glass. They actually went away wanting a pandas rock, so think there will be some POW action tomorrow on that one!

He was putting in the work at Glorias wasn't he? Tongue poking out as he was getting his dawb on! Such control of line working on glass in rather cramped conditions without a sketchbook to refer too... Props

Also carlito thanks for the example framing of Sgt Pepper's - I have this print and I am looking at a black frame but with a red(ish) mount - if I'm adventerous. Otherwise a plain white mount. I wish this print was a bit more square.

Thursday Friday Saturday Sunday.... the show is over and I think it has been a ROCKING success...
I cant believe it all happened, nothing got destroyed or damaged, I didnt get arrested and lot and lots of people came to see the show , and a fair few bought prints / t-shirts and paintings....
Thanks a gazillion to Steph from Stella Dore, to Ross who helped me hang the show, to Dora and Dolly from POW who helped me to run 'tings on thursday night..
Thanks to Marcos who framed the paintings in Wales, to Tim who drove the paintings up to me overnight on wednesday, to my mum and dad for helping to co-ordinate things when we thought the framer had disappeared with all the paintings ( he hadn't ) ..
thanks to the printers who did an unbelievable job , thanks to the neon guys who helped me hook up the neon bunnies for free...thanks to the guy on Ebay who sold me the plan chest for ยฃ70 what a bargain...
thanks for my international man with a van crew from peru , the punjab and poland who helped me squeeze the paintings back into my house this morning...
Thanks to anybody who has bought paintings and prints from me in the past ..
Thanks to everybody who came to see the show ...
Thanks to my benefactors in Spain who prepaid for 8 of the paintings so I had the funds to pay for the whole thing...
and the biggest thanks goes to the nice people at the Old Truman Brewery especially the lovely Tamsin who helped me to make it happen..
On a sad note, Mr Zeloof , the owner of the Old Truman Brewery died this weekend, so my best wishes go out to his family and friends... may he rest in peace on the other side...
ok I am going to have the afternoon off now , and have a bath... the pink neon bunny is going to look AMAZING in my bathroom...
