Happy Choppers 1 original?, by davidsmith on Apr 2, 2010 16:18:58 GMT 1, I have a Banksy Happy Choppers 1 oil on canvas and would like to know if anyone has any idea at all about the value of this piece should it be original? Does anybody know the edition size and who they were sold to? I have heard there were more than one canvas produced but am awaiting verification from one or two sources...
I have taken a few pictures for you to have a look at.
Please if anyone can aid me with information relating to this piece you would be more then helpful!
Via my research I can not find a lot of documentation with regards to this piece. Infact the only image I can find of it is in Silky's original thread in the Banksy Originals and Canvas section...

I don't know if it is real mate that is why I am posting here and am in the process of contacting Dora to find out more. I don't want to sell it so am not here to advertise it either, fake or real (no PM's please). I love the image and am quite happy leaving it hanging in place in a back bedroom so I can enjoy it.
Maybe it is a bad copy who really cares! In my opinion it really isn't that bad. I have heard one or two stories about the way in which these canvases were produced indicating that B may not have even painted the original oils himself..... Speculative I know but more info then I am getting here right now. Have you ever seen one before? I haven't and have been collecting B's work for years.
I'm going to continue to enjoy it and will let you know what Pest Control say.
