I think they called it right. It is a bit niche in terms of appealing to the art world. But, this film could break out and appeal to a broader audience if the right wind gets behind it.
I'm not sure if I want Banksy to be mainstream in America. I realize I have no choice, but it is like a little secret of mine. Like an undiscovered band--you want to be able to choose when you want to access your little gem, not run into it everywhere on the backpacks of school children and incessantly on billboards and commercials.
You Brits have it differently, he's a part of your culture already, albeit in a non commercial way. I'd like to leave it where it is, but if I have to see Banksy images on Pepsi cans and beach towels, I'd like to own the merchandising rights!

BANKSY Film "Exit Through The Gift Shop", by howlinjack on Jan 26, 2010 22:51:00 GMT 1, Went to see the Chris Morris movie 'Four Lions' this morning. Powerful, horrific, shocking and hilarious. I never thought that I would use those words together to describe something. It's like a warped Mike Leigh movie. Amazing movie. Don't think I could see it again though. I have no idea how the British press will react to it when it opens in April. Any UK press yet re sundance reviews? There was a Q&A after the movie with the two guys who wrote it with Chris: Jesse Armstrong and Sam Bain. We had a chat with them afterwards as well. Sam said to me that he thinks that that was the last time he is also going to see the movie. They told us that Chris was at the banksy movie on Sunday as well. Really have a feeling that the banksy bin laden piece has something to do with the 'four lions' movie, it will make sense when you see it. Amazing movie. Chris Morris is a genius.

Gutted that I missed the premier party because of too short of notice. Friends say he was there. Supposedly easy to get into and lots of clueless party goers from Toa had no idea he was right there. Once I have a positive ID, I'm shutting my mouth - cause all the fun is seeking the answers as part of the art. Lots of great second hand info from people. Probably already know the answers.

Thierry had insane footage of Mr. B in action as well as those artists mentioned.
Just incredible footage also of Shep and Invader.
On my 14 hour drive to LA, I'll tell more.
I'll contribute to a new spoiler thread later.... Everyone on this board is going to go insane seeing this film.

Good stuff, glad you had a blast... I honestly considered it, however due to work, I usually have to plan about a good month in advance prior to going out of town for a weekend. 
I've been out to the SLC/Park City area a few times however... absolutely gorgeous. Furthermore, Brighton is probably my favorite place to go snowboarding.
