Share Tips - Anyone else trade?, by grafik on Jun 4, 2010 18:18:41 GMT 1, Yup,
Some serious s**t went down, known as a bear raid, its basically an organized way of manipulating the share price so that someone can buy s**t loads at a lower price.
basically Mr A has s**t loads of shares, so he opens a short on RKH so that when the share falls he benefits. he then releases some fake news, gets people on BB's to deramp and generally gets the market in panic, from his massive sell coinsiding with the dodgey news the price falls, people sell thinking its going tits up and the prices falls and falls, people have stop losses which are now triggered and so the prices goes lower and lower.
Now Mr A has a short so he is rolling in it. he closes his short and using the serious amounts of cash he now has he buys all the shares he can. so the price rises.
Now yesterday they did this over lunch so they knew people would be out and not be able to control their stops and the directors of RKH wouldnt be able to release and RNS telling everyone its ok. So when they get back they release news saying nothing is wrong, the share price rises back and Mr A is now f**king minted.
of course its all against the law and some people are going to go to jail when they find out who it was making the trades.

Share Tips - Anyone else trade?, by grafik on Jun 4, 2010 18:19:53 GMT 1, havent looked through the trades but in order to trigger that fall you would need to sell 100k shares at least, possibly 200k. thats nigh on 1/2 a million quid. then open say ยฃ1k a point short, the sp drops to 60 and you've made another 210k.
then buy back in at 60p with your ยฃ750k to get 1.25 million shares.
sp rises to 250p and youve now got 3.1 million quid of shares, not bad for 2 hours work.
then you run away. fast.

Just hope FOGL find it in the south now then it really will be happy days !

yes, any profit over 10k, CGT tax 20% (fuck the conservative gov if they raise it)
non AIM shares are ISAable so not on them, you can buy shares like you can an ISA.
i would advise all those holding DES+RKH+BOR to sell this week on a high, i think we will see a peak, (if we haven't seen it already) buy back in later at a lower price.
no DES news for 3 months, no RKH news for 2 months no BOR news, er, till they find a rig.
cheers
chris

Cos of Ernest is around 4% i wouldnt hold your breath, 2 different systems NFB and SFB
Sp tomorrow to rise to circa 330 i reckon, then fall, i think we will settle around the ยฃ3 till they do a flow test.
who knows when that will be..
My advice is HOLD/SELL
p.s. make sure you take your initial stake out now... dont be silly.

don't understand why if brokers are saying 700p a share, then people aren't buying as 300p is less than half price???
can you explain? please

Share Tips - Anyone else trade?, by grafik on Jun 9, 2010 0:44:39 GMT 1, there is still a few bits of the jigsaw missing, although we had today one of them...
so in order to sort this well out, we need a flow test and maybe an appraisal well or two. only then will we know for sure how much oil,
the sp is bullshit, 700p a share is OIG price and that caries from $2-$20 so who you choose to believe,
trust me, 280p soon, buy in at 280....
cheers

Great price to buy....forget about days and weeks....like I said next 12 months...
Rumour has it that the share price was dropped to allow selected investors to get in prior to a report that is due.

Share Tips - Anyone else trade?, by stillborncrisps on Jun 10, 2010 12:19:08 GMT 1, I've just been looking, and each has their adv/disadvantages. Some have annual fees, some have flat fees for each trade whereas others do it by %.
iii.com force you to opt into their marketing shit as part of signup, so that was a no no for me.
In the end I went with www.share.com and set up a DIY ISA with which to trade in. 1% (ยฃ7.50 minimum) for each trade. Being a visually sensitive soul it also helps that their site doesn't look like a dog's dinner, as almost all of the others do.

Edit: in looking at them, I'll likley go with share.com now I just need to figure out what to buy with a measly 500 GBP. Guess I'll watch this thread.

But what would make a kitchen company go double? Surely they're intrinsically linked to the state of the housing market, which is obv slow and unlikely to pick up for a while. Are there other factors that could trigger a rise?
The intentional price drop you mention is copied from here www.lse.co.uk/ShareChat.asp?ShareTicker=GFRM but in April (27th). Think the price has picked back up again since then. Is that your post on there too?
