Russell also did the same work as prints which are way smaller & cheaper. This is the real deal! About the Monroe pic. The story behind it is that Marilyn was on her honeymoon in 1954 in Japan and she went away to sing to the troops in Korea. She performed 10 shows in four days with the USO, in front of audiences that totaled more than 100,000 servicemen. Found the story online!

Sid Vicious mugshot screenprint, 2007 on handmade lunchbox. Acrylic paint and silkscreen ink. This piece was originally created by Russell for a charity auction in NYC several years ago.
measurements are 30cm x 22cm x 10cm
Signed and Dated
inside artist wrote "punk is not dead"
and the reverse image (yes, it is actually a double screen print)
The color is the original yellow from the 2002 Sid Vicious print. Sorry the quality of photos is bad. Better photos available on request.

the sid vicious on paper was an edition of 50 pieces. and to my knowledge it completely sold out several years ago. only way to find one would be on second hand market. maybe on these forums!

Uniquely, it was also countersigned in 2011 by the original photographer of the image.
Earlier works are becoming very much in demand at the minute, with some very strong auction results, and that's probably where this one will end up unless anyone has something interesting to offer up?
Interested in straight cash or straight trade although preferably a part cash part trade would be the ideal solution for me right now!
Trade wants include:
Signed Banksy
Shep HPM's
Kaws prints
Tauba Auerbach prints
Parla watercolours
Micallef small originals
That's probably about it. DM's please if interested. Value is low 5-figures so no timewasters please.

You may well be right.
BUT....we've only just bought this house and plan to be here for the forseeable, at least 6-8 years. And with the wedding to pay and a few other art wants, it seems madness to put it in storage.

For the floors, buy a large thing of Matt Varnish and gradually add most of a small tin of white emulsion!!! Best varnish is Mylands 'Mylack' matt floor lacquer. AMAZING stuff.
