I was just emailing scavos about it.. Its going to be on A1 paper and the DEATH PLANET itself is going to be a four colour process screenprint with a 2 layer varnish on it so it looks like its floating in space... should be out next Thursday... ooh scary..

interesting, people slagging Eelus, Dolk, etc., etc. for Star Wars, all saying, "no more star wars prints, Lord please, no more star wars prints" but everyone either loves this or are silent. Things that make you go hmmmm....

yeah i know, i know, STAR WARS stuff has been done to death and after Eelus' At-at girl it has been pretty rubbish... BUT i'm doing this because I think this makes a statement about how other civilisations might see us as warlike, almost like Darth Vaders mob were seen in the film. When I was WELL into UFO's back when I was living in California and doing a lot of weapons grade psychedelics and listening to a lot of techno in the 90's I found out about this story ...

" So many people were seeing and reading about UFOs that it could only be a matter of time before someone claimed to meet their occupants, and this dubious honour was bestowed on the colourful "Professor" George Adamski. A Polish immigrant, Adamski had tried it all as a soldier, sign painter, factory worker, successful bootlegger during Prohibition , leader of The Royal Order of Tibet (a 1930's Californian religious group) and failed science fiction author (Pioneers of Space, 1949). But it was his November 20, 1952 meeting with a visitor from Venus that drew him world-wide attention, including a meeting with the Queen of the Netherlands, and, according to his supporters, a secret reception with Pope John XXIII, who died two days later.

The meeting with the alien took place in the California desert; Adamski ventured out alone with a camera and telescope after seeing a cigar shaped "mothership" whilst saucer spotting with friends. He then noticed a strange looking man in a ravine:

The men communicated through telepathy and sign language. Adamski learnt that he was from Venus; he had come to warn man that he must stop his warlike ways and that his nuclear weapons were a threat to universal harmony.

PLUS ** I was an extra in STAR WARS and I appear in the last 20 seconds dancing with Eewoks in endor (see pic) and I appear in a crowd on the roof of the Cantina "an evil hive of scum and villainy" .. which gives me a George Lucas given right to use the DEATH STAR II in my artwork if I want , so long as I make it bloody good. I promise I will never touch STAR WARS imagery again after this.
