Framing Nightmares (hats off to Nick Walker), by moff on Oct 30, 2008 12:03:44 GMT 1, I took my Nick Walker Hani Cap to the framers at last to have it float mounted.
Went to pick it up and one of the edges has come unstuck.
I took it straight back in and he said he will have it done by the end of the day
One hour later I had a very sheepish framer on the phone saying he had put a hole in my print.
Keeping my anger inside I told the framer I would have to call him later.
After 24 hours cooling off I called him back and he offered to replace the print.
I sent an email to Nick Walker explaining my nightmare and Jacqueline replied the same day.
The print has long sold out and I thought there was no chance replacing it.
I can not explain how helpful they were and how nice it is to deal with real people.
I received an AP from nick at cost of the framers.
I would like to thank Nick Walker and Jacqueline for their help in replacing the print quickly and with out fuss.
Also I would like to thank the framer for upgrading my print to an AP (but he will never get any business from me again)
This is my second framing nightmare and was wondering if others also had this problem?

Often worried about the same thing! Someone should do a 'check your frame jobs are ok' service!

Indeed, well i have just had to have every print i've ever bought reframed at a cost of ยฃ10k... if only there could have been some kind of service i could have used after the first one!!

Framing Nightmares (hats off to Nick Walker), by themightyreds on Oct 31, 2008 0:59:23 GMT 1, not really a framing nightmare but i once stabbed a small hole in an Eine canvas with a philips screwdriver when i rushed to fit a wire on the back of it to get it on the wall as quick as possible....
an awful chill ran through my blood when i realised what i'd done.
this was quickly replaced by boiling rage at my own stupidity which lasted a full 2 days before i could even talk about it.
felt a little better when Ben said just stick some gaffer tape on the back.
