The gold Leaves insertions do make a huge difference, but to me the fact that its a glicee print is still a deal breaker! Too bad, he is a real talent IMO

One of the best talents out there IMO, but never quite to the peak.
His prints give his works no justice whatsoever, and these new originals are absolute jokes compared to his potential..they almost look like a quick cash out with a very little effort.

Drawing inspiration from Camus/Kierkegaard's notion of 'Absurdity', each drawing becomes a decadent theatre of
emotion, sexuality and movement. Lonely human forms seem to struggle and ponder the sporadically lit space they occupy without reaching the point of a dramatic emotional encounter.
Arriving back to the UK after nearly a decade in Paris and Berlin, Loughborough returns to childhood surroundings as a source of inspiration. For this new series of works, he ties the idea of an unstable nature within the human condition to the oxidation of iron merchant shipwrecks in Portsmouth harbour.
