USA Election Poll, by goffy on Sept 16, 2008 15:17:06 GMT 1, According to recent polls, the majority of people outside of America would prefer Obama. Unfortunately Americans vote on God, so called national security and hockey mom's for fuck sake. I'm dreading it but I think McCain will get in, which is the last thing this world needs.

USA Election Poll, by Rude Copper on Sept 16, 2008 15:41:43 GMT 1, i'm curious, looking at the mess the american economy is in, it'll take a fairly strong charectar to sort the mess out, do americans really think that obama is ready for such a huge test so early in his career?

McCain's entire campaign staff consists of lobbyists who have worked on behalf of corporations instead of citizens. The man who drew up his economic plan, phil gramm, stated that the economy is not that bad and the americans are whining. Just yesterday McCain stated on the stump the the fundamentals of the economy are strong. Phil Gramm also lobbied to allow the deregulation that created this sub prime mortgage disaster. You are joking right?
and just for fun...

Oh stop really? That didnt answer the question? The answer is a resounding YES. Tax CUTS for middle america, health care, home save. The answer is YES. Lastest polling shows 49% of americans feel that Obama would do a better job on the economy than McCain @ 45%
And again, McCain did NOT clash with Bush on economic matters at all, walked hand in hand with him.

USA Election Poll, by grafffan on Sept 16, 2008 16:46:35 GMT 1, I also would love to hear why those who said they would vote for McBush...I mean McCain, why they would.
Look up McCain's first marriage, interesting choice of character. Also, someone who flip flops so much and has Viagra on his health care plan and not contraceptives. Something is seriously wrong with that picture and the picture of hypocritical behavior on the Republican side of many topics and issues (i.e. abstinence, war/killing people/religion) many disconnects here.
Well me personally I am despise people who tell people who they can and can not marry, people who tell women what to due with their bodies, and people who blame everything on religion. These anal people waste too much energy on worry about other people's happiness.

USA Election Poll, by manchestermike on Sept 16, 2008 16:49:57 GMT 1, I am curious who on this board voted for McCain and why...
Me... I think ("hope") he'll win, I don't like Overhype, he's not strong enough to be president, I see him as a case of fur coat but no knickers. The way the US is at the moment they need a strong president, McCain (although I don't like him either!) is this, you may not agree with all his policies but he'll be strong enough to see them through. Obama looks good to the voters from the outside, but under it all will he be strong enough to stand up when it matters? I'm not so sure.
I'm glad I don't have to vote in this one as I don't like (or trust) either... but think McCain will be the best president

Bush won because he was perceived to be a "strong" president and leader. Well, he was strong all right, the problem was he was WRONG and STUBBORN. So essentially voting for the myth of the strong choice has destroyed the economy in the US and got us into iraq under BS pretenses.
John McCain may be what you consider "strong" but strength without diplomacy is what got us into Iraq and will get us into Iran with McCrazy.
I think Obama is strong, but is also smart enough to listen to other opinions and weigh all options rather than stubbornly stand by his perceptions even when he's dead wrong.

USA Election Poll, by Deleted on Sept 16, 2008 17:23:00 GMT 1, I'm seriously considering writing in Ron Paul, but that would be a wast of a vote. I vote Obama. Mainly, I think that his Presidency will be symbolic of how serious Americans are about improving our foreign relations. As a global economy, we can't ignore this issue. Also, I think Obama is smarter than Mccain and will surround him with some of the world's best minds for his cabinet who at the end of the day, do the real work. fingers crossed.

USA Election Poll, by grafffan on Sept 16, 2008 18:32:56 GMT 1, Also....what all you McBush...I mean McCain supporters need to also think about and consider...which VP would you want to be President INCASE something happens? I don't think there is ANYONE that can argue with that one.
I just wish more people would vote for themselves and their lifestyles. NOT what their Mommy and Daddy raised them as. I have talked to many friends on both sides who vote the way they do, because it was spoon fed..i.e spoon fed politics. Enough of the spoon fed, robot politics....use your own brain and opinion.
With Republicans it is always about taxes and money...more more more. Well quality of life is not having to worry about traveling to other countries (much easier pre-USA Iraq war), quality schools, public programs, and a society which. The matter of the fact is majority of us have enough money to travel, eat and drink at nice restaurants, buy art! A more, more, more mentality creates greed which is exactly what it is. These external issues effect YOU directly. I wish they woudl wake up.
I talked to one Republican and when asked about the major issue of funding for public schools do you know what he said...I will send my kids to private school. Great solution!

USA Election Poll, by melmoth on Sept 16, 2008 19:26:12 GMT 1, The John McCain who is running in 2008 is NOT the John McCain who ran in 2000. Quite simply, he has decided that he would rather lose his integrity than the election. He has picked a running mate who is somewhere to the right of Adolf Hitler, though Hitler had more liberal views on rape than Sarah Palin does. As McCain is also showing clear signs of physically and mentally declining too, there is better than a 1 in 3 chance that she will be President in the next four years.
The neo-cons, you know, the fvckwits who drove us all into the war in Iraq, are salivating at the thought of a Palin presidency. She would make Bush look like a pansy. Even if McCain does see out his first term, we are virtually guaranteed to start a new Cold War with Russia with those two at the helm.
As for the question posted earlier on whether Obama is up to the job, yes he is. He is very sharp politically and intellectually, and his advisors are top notch too.

I am going against ya on this one...sounds like you are arguing just to argue. You NEVER EVER in the US leave nothing...the only time that is acceptable is when you find some crazy stuff in your food. 10% is the min on a terrible meal/service.
Never understood the cheap people who do not understand that it is one of the ONLY jobs that a person can support themselves without going to school. Some people are so self consumed...sad people.
Thatโs how it is here mate...get wit' it.
