Creased print advice, by ratboy on Jun 10, 2009 12:50:13 GMT 1, Hi - not sure if I'll get much of a response today...but
I recently had a Blu print framed, looks good but I think it's starting to fold over/crease/bubble, not sure what the right word is, within the frame.
I'm not sure if this is a fault of the framers, and therefore should I ask them to sort it out? Or is it a common thing with large prints?
Thanks in advance if someone can help

Creased print advice, by doublehelix on Jun 10, 2009 12:59:30 GMT 1, Ripple? Might be down to change in temperature, or moisture. Or might not have been given enough time for the paper to relax before framing.

Creased print advice, by richy00 on Jun 10, 2009 14:10:11 GMT 1, you mean it looks rippled?
it because it was rolled in a tube before being framed. it will do this unless you press it down with a mount? which isnt good for the print..
i think im right, i might have made that up

Creased print advice, by pork on Jun 11, 2009 9:02:46 GMT 1, I would try freezing the print then gently hammering the ripples out of it with a steak mallet, once you are happy it is flat, defrost it in a bath of luke warm acid free water and dry it with a hot iron, let me know how you get on...
