Alternative Acrylic Framing , by Harveyn on May 15, 2009 12:52:06 GMT 1, Looks good Gary and a nice cheap option. Is the depth of the recess enough to avoid a float mounted piece from touching the front plate?

Alternative Acrylic Framing , by Mister Frame Man on May 15, 2009 13:35:42 GMT 1, The recess is only 2mm so not deep enough for a float mounted piece. However, with UV protective face sheet then I would say that it would be fine for less valuable editions as there is no pressure pushing the print due to the recess. I wouldn't advise signed Banksy pieces though.
By introducing a 5mm centre acrylic panel with an aperture cut out then you could float mount - Check website link
www.photographyframing.co.uk/acatalog/Single_Aperture.html However, does push the price up!
Size wise, any larger than A1 would need to be cnstructed using 2x 5mm sheets which again would push the price up, but are availbale in 2mx3m sheets
Don't know why images cannot be seen by everyone - Just on my photobucket library as normal! ?

Alternative Acrylic Framing , by Harveyn on May 15, 2009 14:33:54 GMT 1, Gary will drop you a mail this evening for price for a Faile Dog II. Would need to float mount though and therefore would require the added 5mm centre piece.
