No - I didnt get a D-face print - sold out when I was about 2 metres from the front.....entirely my own fault - I got there earlier - thought I'd have a beer in the bar next door as the queue seemed short enough - came out .....bad moves.

Sorry to hear about everyone having a nightmare in the show. I was lucky enough to be close to the front of the queue so with with 10 cold beers and a camping chair the experience was fun for me. I met up with crackawacka, discoduster and spidey and we all managed to get totally hammered together and had a right laugh. I even bumped into the yomster, frankie and steff introduced her self and gave me a nice stella dore card. Apparently i even came home and kept telling the girlfriend I loved her whilst 'flailing around'. Very very drunk indeed. I've got a few pics, though not that great and I'm not sure how to banksyfy  the pics yet so the ones of people will have to wait until I've worked out how to do that. Here's some of the art....

It turns out that if you go on a corporate quiz night, playing drink while you think against yourself is never gonna work.

But the atmosphere is something the host needs to nurture and they didn't really try. The charity should have been represented in some way but not even a leaflet was handed out. Shame. But on a personal level I really can't complain. Good company, free beer and a cheap print. I should be thankful really.

Dface Print - StolenSpace - 28th June 2007 , by discoduster on Jun 29, 2007 17:13:04 GMT 1, I bumped into an old school friend in one of the bars prior to queuing up so got there slightly later than my suggested 3pm!
At 4.30 there was only about 10 or so bods in front of me so settled down with a book. FPR shouted WHERES DISCODUSTER!! about 5.30 by which there probably around 50ish people.
After a couple beers at Bar Ranger  with Cracka doors opened late at around 6.45 and moved at a agonising pace.
I feel for those ppl behind us as we were relativley at the front and queue just didn't seem to be moving.
Ppl who were paying by plastic were taking about 5 minutes, cash sales flew through.
Beers were handed out which eased the tension slightly in the queue.
The cocktails were going down very nicely and by 8.15 I thought i'd be cutting it fine catching my 8 train so had to leave.
Had to jump the barriers at Paddington and missed the last bus home so had to wake the missus to come and get me (which went down well).
Overall if I hadn't met up with forum members I wouldn't have enjoyed it.
Oh, and I forgot to meet up with Frankie to pick up my Mantis (hic)

Thank god you've blacked the eyes out as i've no idea what face I#m pulling - and I vaguely remember getting my pic taken with Beth. She looks scared shitless. Could be the start of something beautiful!

After train cancelations because of balloons on the overhead cables of all things... I met up with forum member Phoeteon and my wife much later than expected. My partner very kindly queued on my behalf after a couple of manic calls pleading with her to pop down. I managed to purchase the print and i'm made up! I think it'll look great alongside my Flags print.
Props to those who got there early... Good work!
