2010 Mercury Prize Shortlist, by bazzj04 on Jul 20, 2010 13:04:28 GMT 1, Hmmm my vote prob go to Wild Beasts, just quiet different to most bands i here recently , got to be a good thing, and also first time i see them i had never heard them previous and they just blew me away , very good live,
but i agree XX could well win,

2010 Mercury Prize Shortlist, by jakek on Jul 20, 2010 13:25:27 GMT 1, the xx have gone from 4/1 to 7/2 and now to 9/4 at paddypower - guess there's some money going on - there was a max bet of ยฃ50 when i got on at 7/2.
I picked up a copy at rough trade and have loved it, the only worry is now that pretty tv backing track has it on and radio1 seem to have playlisted the new single.
just giving the wild beasts album a listen online as i'd not heard of them - liking it so far.

Nominations are chosen by a selected panel of musicians, music executives, journalists and other figures in the music industry in the UK and Ireland. But im unsure of how votes are cast/.?

frustratingly i also had england to win 2-1 last night - very frustrating at the end.
it all adds to the art fund!
