Correct that a piece like this is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it.
I have nothing to base a valuation on other than gut feeling and the stature of the artist. My gut feeling is that I would not be suprised if someone paid more than that for this piece. But dont hold me to it!

If so, this is only worth as much as you may not have the ability or opportunity to possibly run into KAWS and have him do the same for you. So far as I know, KAWS has not advised that he would no longer sign/sketch in anyone's black book. As such, this shouldn't be that much of a rarity. Unless, as I mentioned, you believe that you would never have the opportunity to meet him in person.

Price Check: Kaws sharpie, by volvic on Aug 3, 2010 21:08:50 GMT 1, He is a very nice guy and is happy to sign your sketch book or doodle book, when i met him he drew a great blitz drawing on some black card, its sitting on my mantle piece... value wise its a tough call because he ultimately did that for you as a gift which is tough to put a price on.
