ALTO CONTRASTE:
Alto Contraste (High Contrast) come from and currently reside in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Alto Contraste consists of a couple - Lee and Lou. Alto Contraste is heavily inspired by the fashion industry and they have taken this inspiration to the streets in their usually very big work. Alto Contraste were one of the most notable new names at the Cans Street Art festival in London in 2008. Recently Alto Contraste have exhibited they work in Australia and they have shows coming up in Brazil in the near future as well.
The work A*C have created for Blind Angle consists of four original works on mdf and four on vintage fashion pattern paper.
Please follow the link for more details of the work:
Untitled Wood I, II, III & IV (Sold)

Untitled Paper I, II, III & IV

ELIN MELBERG
Elin Melberg is one of the original artists on Blind Angle, but to fill in those who have not heard about Elin, here is a short summary:
Contemporary artist Elin Melberg (born 14.09.1976) is from Stavanger on the south west coast of Norway, where she currently also lives. In 2002 she graduated with an MA in printmaking from the Royal College of Art in London.
Elin Melberg frequently uses strong and highly autobiographical imagery to lay bare the up's and down's of her life. Her work incorporates disciplines such as drawing, painting and print making and her boldly coloured paintings with sewn on beads underline her distinct, very personal and easily recognisable style.
In addition to having exhibited extensively throughout her native Norway and has also exhibited in countries such as the UK, Brazil, Japan and South Korea. In 2008 she had solo shows in countries such as Norway and Denmark.
Currently Elin is working towards a solo show in Bergen, Norway that opens on Valentines Day (14th February) and in connection with this exhibition she has created a beautiful special Valentines Day print titled "Buy Some Love" (the perfect gift for a loved one !-) We are presenting the new screen print and new original work here:
"Buy Some Love" Screen print on paper; Edition of 50; Signed, Numbered & Dated; Size: 53 x 65cm; 2008
ORIGINALS:
More work from Elin can be seen on Blind Angle or her own website:
www.elinmelber.com
JEF AEROSOL
Last, but not least we present a selection of works on cardboard from the master that is Jef Aerosol. These pieces were created for his first London solo exhibition "Spray It Loud" in 2008. The works have never appeared on Blind Angle before, but finally we have managed to take some photos of them and here they are:
www.blindangle.co.uk/blind_angle/artist_pages/jef_aerosol/Indian_dancer_cb_red.jpg[/img]
Phew! That is it for now ENJOY!
cheers
Ragnar
Added 13th January:
l.e.t "Hero Home Kit". The work is stencil & hand paint on canvas. The size is: 53x89cm and the edition is 12 where each looks different and is unique.
FAKE "Duckman". The work is stencil on canvas. The size is: 100x70cm and the edition is only 5.
Recently we have started to work with two new artists, Toz from Brazil and Starchild from the UK. More info on the works of these two artists will be available on Blind Angle shortly!
Toz is a very prolific and visible artist on the streets of Rio de Janeiro. In all kind of situations and in all kind of colors his trademark characters grace walls all over town. Toz is one of the original members of the Fleshbeckcrew and has had a couple of solo exhibitions to his name. We have available a couple of works on found drawers.
Contemporary artist Starchild (b. 1970) initially studied a degree in graphic design and animation. He has spent many years in the creative industry as a stylist, clothing designer and director. Starchild's work is an eclectic "brain dump" of ideas and influence, of boundless dynamic optimism and dark threat. His work combines found objects, obscure printed ephemera, personal experience and mixed media.
From January 16th he will have work in the "Mink Schmink" show at the Wilson Williams gallery (www.wilsonwilliamsgallery.com)
Here are a few examples of Starchild's work!
For more info please contact us on info@blindangle.co.uk
