Any Faile / Swoon sites in New York?, by robertlondon on Feb 20, 2008 4:01:05 GMT 1, Just wondered whether anyone knows of any street sites of current Faile / Swoon art in New York? (I'm off there this weekend)
I remember a youtube video showing how Swoon maintained a mural in the lower east side... is it still maintained? and if so, where is it?
And any Faile?
Or did the Splasher get them all? ...or have people been out with their angle grinders and chisels?
Cheers Robert

Any Faile / Swoon sites in New York?, by dzel on Feb 20, 2008 4:29:29 GMT 1, you can see some faile [and some wk and invader] in williamsburg, brooklyn . there's some swoon in that same neighborhood but much harder to find. also hit up the lower east side and soho. [lots of great stuff...bast, dain, wk, gaia, judith supine, etc] post some pics of what you find.

Any Faile / Swoon sites in New York?, by BK83 on Feb 20, 2008 7:20:57 GMT 1, Hi Robert.
As Dzel has said, definately make sure you make your way to Williamsburg and the LES, East Village and Soho areas of New York -- prime locations for a plethora of artists, both established on the scene and breaking.
Good luck.

The Swoon wall you mentioned was somewhere off Orchard Street in LES if it's still there. The was also a large piece next to the Jonathan LeVine Gallery. 529 W. 20th Street, 9E
Like everyone else mentioned Williamsburg is a must . Take the L train to Bedford Ave Station and checkout the streets running off Bedford Ave. Swoon, Faile, Obey, Bast, Judith and lots more.
