Ok its cool that the most powerful man in the world has one of his pieces, but there are a lot of other reasons..
Ben got stuck out in Japan when Iceland Volcano was erupting and he spent weeks painting shopfronts in Osaka and Tokyo, people would give him little gifts when he finished painting their places... thats cool.
Ben went to L.A. and started painting shutters with permission of the store owners and the more and more he painted, more and more store owners wanted their shutters done too.
Ben is a fucking excellent colourist, because of his background in screenprinting for POW he has really got to grips with making prints POP! and he really thinks about what colours are going to go with what and he completely nails it.
I have a theory that screenprinting ink and paint runs through his veins, not claret.
He has been so systematic with painting letters on the streets in the East End, I think he has changed the landscape in a lot of areas with his letters.

Fucking disgrace collaborating with The Scum. Charity or no charity. No Excuses. With the press coverage he's recieved in the last few days he could of worked direct with Shelter. The Big Issue anyone but (Sun or Mail) and raised awareness and a shedload of cash! Very Dissapointed and no doubt I'll get flamed for this.

Ben doesn't have the cameron vote as such, his wife chose the piece, i'm not a tory supporter at all but this kind of exposure will get eine some long overdue and much deserved attention from across the globe.
many of the people reading or viewing the news, many will have forgotten this artist/story already. but for the art lovers who have never heard of him then this is a great moment?
