Because it was very poor attempt at his style...
Buyers do need to be wary.

The sig' had me doing a few double-takes too, but I've seen some ropey sig's on legit' pieces, so it isn't always the best barometer of authenticity. I guess, as GB says, there is always a good chance that Adam will let Mike know to make us aware, but he's allowed to go on holiday once in a while too and there are so many street pieces out there, he really is the only one who might know for sure. Personally I quite liked the piece itself fwiw, but wouldn't touch the seller.
Bottom line, the guy had people saying things like this:
-1 month to get item from UK?! Absolutely no communication. Dont buy, not serious
-Item is real sh.t! Bad condition! Seller didnt even answer emails. You thief!!
-RUN AWAY WITH MONEY. CHEATER ON EBAY
so that's a good enough reason alone to steer clear imo!

Plus I didn't like the image anyway near enough to fork out the best part of a grand - much better examples of his work out there
